Furrunnecia Newberry

I’m Furrunnecia (“Feronica”) Newberry, owner of The Urban Counselor LLC. The Urban Counselor was founded through my work with inner-city and metropolitan communities navigating complex trauma. I recognize the unique impact urban living can have on emotional well-being, interpersonal relationships, and daily functioning—especially within marginalized communities. These experiences deserve care that is both trauma-informed and holistic. The individuals I serve often carry the weight of layered experiences, including adverse childhood events, neglect, sexual assault, gun violence, poverty, attachment wounds, narcissistic abuse, and the lasting effects of COVID-19. I primarily support individuals through Relational Therapy approaches in conjunctions with cognitive and mindfulness tools. I am a Level One Certified Sound Healer offering live Sound Scape experiences for a flat fee. I look forward to building personal insight, awareness, compassion and overall confidence with the individuals I serve.
